Playgroups

Play space

KULTURFABRIK offers a space to spend quality time between parents and children. Current work schedules, availability and pace of life often do not allow us to spend as much time as we would like with the little ones. That’s why we open KULTURFABRIK to make it available to families, with the aim of offering a space where you can spend quality time with your children. You will have a dynamic space, equipped with didactic and educational valuable material to be able to play, experience and enjoy together a moment dedicated exclusively to you, thus establishing and strengthening your emotional bonds and your relationship of trust.

If you are offering your partner to go out to dinner or any other weekend plan to have a moment just for you, why not offer it to your child as well?

Halfway between parental care at home and kindergarten/ school we find the KULTURFABRIK's playgroups.

An almost obligatory stop so that children can develop an organic and natural journey during their process of socialization and motorical development at the side of trustworthy persons, in a space created to carry out varied activities with pedagogical materials that the help them develop their cognitive, emotional, social and motor skills with the company of other children their age.

The best way to make the transition to daycare or school easier for both,  your children and you!

Activity for children from 0 to 3 years

The play space IS an activity in which children participate accompanied by an adult. They can be parents, grandparents, babysitters or any other trustworthy person.

We offer groups for children, from 0 to 12 months, and groups for children from 1 to 3 years.

In both cases, the activity lasts one hour, although we count about 30 minutes more for arrival and laeving.

What are the benefits of participating in Kulturfabrik play space?

With the help of playgroups, children can have their first positive experiences with other peers in an unfamiliar but valuable environment for education before entering kindergarten or elementary school. The most differentiating fact of KULTURFABRIK is that they do not leave trustworthy persons behind. They can accompany them and be by their side at all times during this experience of emotional and social development. This progressive, lovingly designed approach to education outside the home helps not only children but also parents. Although it is a theoretically normal situation in society, parents often find it very difficult to separate directly from their children when they start kindergarten or elementary school. This is where KULTURFABRIK offers the opportunity to be able to start this transition together and  facilitate this important step.

So why not take advantage of this great opportunity and start this new and exciting phase of our child's life without worries and with great enthusiasm?

The pedagogical material

In the KULTURFABRIK play area you will only find material of high pedagogical value and selected according to the age of the boys and girls. For us it is important that the material and toys stimulate children's imagination in free play and that they can be used in various ways. This is how the ramp of the Pikler triangle becomes a slide for cars or we create a mandala with the arches of the Waldorf style rainbow.

In the free play we mainly offer wooden toys. A great advantage of this natural material is its antibacterial properties and the fact that wood, unlike many other materials, does not contain any harmful substances. In addition, wooden toys tend to be much more durable and further stimulate children’s imagination.

We love all the toys and materials we have, and surely the little ones in the house would love to discover them too!

In addition, for group guided activities in the play area we use a lot of recycled material, in this way we not only respect the environment, but also give families the opportunity to implement these ideas at home -easily and at low cost.

Learn by playing

Over the weeks we vary and exchange toys or add new ones so that children always receive new stimuli and suggestions that allow them new (sensory) experiences. Our main goal is that with all the teaching material we offer in the play area, children can learn by playing and having fun!

Playing together is a great opportunity to establish and strengthen emotional bonds

How does the the play space work?

When children come to KULTURFABRIK play space, we let them discover the space, the various materials and the high quality toys freely.

Of course, the persons who accompany children can openly participate in the play and resolve any questions they may have with us.

The free play

What is free play and how important is it for children?

During free play, children design their own game independently and according to their fantasies, deciding for themselves on the content, objects, goals, playmates, and duration of their activity.

Through free play children ...

  • get to know themselves, their material environment, and the physical and functional properties of the objects around them.
  • develop their social, emotional, linguistic, motor and cognitive skills.
  • process issues, situations, and experiences that are important to them, which also allows them to explore their feelings.

From KULTURFABRIK we can assure you that there are few things more important than free play for the child’s own personal development.

What is the role of the family in the play space?

In play groups, companions stay in the space with the children. This allows them to ...

  • observe during free play the development that children are making in  physical abilities, as well as in their thinking, their feelings and their social and emotional development, throughout the sessions.
  • receive information about the different stages of development in which the children are and towards which they are advancing
  • exchange experiences about children or daily life with other members of the course.

Last but not least, they will also receive different suggestions and ideas to be able to play at home, which will stimulate and interest each child.

The play area is also a great opportunity for grandparents who take care of their grandchildren every day and who are looking for a little variety and socialization for the little ones with other children of the same age.

Play space for children from 0 to 12 months

In the first months of life the most important forms of play are social play (interaction with parents or other trusted people in which active phases and phases of relaxation alternate) and play with their own hands (getting involved). hands in mouth, look at them and touch them).

In the following months, children begin to get to know their environment more and more by exploring objects manually, orally and visually.

All the material that allows them to have varied sensory experiences is especially recommended for the game.

Play space for children from 1 to 3 years

From the second year of life, children continue to progress and become aware of the workings of objects and begin to take an interest in construction games and, later, symbolic games.

They also like to imitate parents and other acquaintances in everyday situations to acquire the functional use of objects and social action.

At this stage of life you can also see how they implement the ordering and grouping of objects according to their properties.

Everyday and less anticipated objects are usually more popular than toys for children.

Why are playmates important to chidren?

While parents, grandparents, and siblings are the main playmates for the little ones, it is important for children to develop essential skills to deal with other boys and girls their age. In addition, through contact with their new peers, they also learn a lot about themselves.

Children’s interest in other children is usually evident around the age of six to twelve months. During this age one cannot speak of playing together but rather of observation. Children up to the age of two interact little, but are observed and imitated by learning new skills and acquiring important social characteristics.

Mixed-age playgroups like the ones we offer at KULTURFABRIK have a great advantage: here the little ones learn from the older ones, who at the same time take pride in being able to teach the little ones a little while consolidating their skills and assuming responsibilities.

How many  children can participate in the playgroups?

The KULTURFABRIK playgroups are small - a minimum of two children with a companion and a maximum of six children with a companion. In this way we make sure that all the children can receive the attention they need and all the companions can fear the opportunity to resolve their doubts and interact with each other without breaking the atmosphere of play.

What else do you need to know about the Kulturfabrik's play area?

It is recommended that children wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict their movement so that they can play, jump, dance and run without discomfort.

It is better to leave your own toys at home, because we want to prevent children from losing or leaving a loved one in the KULTURFABRIK.

Drinks brought from home can be drunk at any time.

We know that as an adult / parent today you have to be available at all times. So you don't have to turn off your cell phones ... but maybe both adults and children would like to take this opportunity to turn it off ?!
